• What is Life in Two?

  • Registration

    Registration to the portal is completely free and during the profile creation process some essential personal data will be asked , such as who you're looking for, your e-mail address and password, nick name, search age, date of birth, country and city of residence.

    By registering to the service, you accept that some of the provided personal data will be shown in the website pages. In particular, in your personal profile the following data provided in the registration process are going to be shown: county/region of residence, gender, age and physical appearance.

    On the other hand your e-mail address will not published, which we’ll use only for the purpose of sending you editorial messages and / or promotional messages; neither will your password. During the registration process you may also complete your profile, adding additional non-mandatory information that will be useful to make you receive the suggestions of those who’re really compatible with who you are, guaranteeing this way a happy married life.

    Your privacy is safe!

    No one, except the website users, can browse the information that you have provided.

    Once you have created your profile, you will be assigned a user code which identifies you. Your name and your last name are not required.

    Your email address will not be published but used by Life in Two only to send you editorial messages and / or promotional messages.

  • Does Life in Two offer a Contact Guarantee?

    We know that from experience that our users normally receive many contact suggestions.

    To benefit from Guaranteed Contacts and to have access to the more advanced Life in Two services, we recommend you subscribe to a Premium Pass of your choice:

    Becoming a PREMIUM user, you will be able to receive an unlimited number of contact suggestions with no additional charges.

  • How are Life in Two contact suggestions generated ?

    After you have created your profile and have answered the test questions (see 1.2), Life in Two will send you the contact suggestions most compatible to what you are looking for.

    The contacts will be constantly refined according to the criteria of your research. If you decide to change your profile data, for example the research age of the partners - something that you can do at any time and completely free of charge - the changes will be incorporated into our database and the new suggested contacts that will be sent to you, will be relevant to your new desires.

  • Affinity test

    So that you could get in touch with partners who share your same wavelength, Life in Two provides you with an affinity test. By answering to those questions, you make it possible for us to introduce you to people similar to you, with whom you'll have higher chances of establishing a long and serious relationship.

    Note: once you've completed the test, you won't be able to take it again.

  • Where can I edit the login data?

    You can modify your login data within your private area.

    Do you want to change your password?

    Write your current password, then the new one and cofirm it. Click on "change". Please note that our system is case sensitive, so make sure not to have the caps lock active when you type in the password.

    Do you want to change your email address?

    Write a new one in the form and click on "SAVE". Remember to confirm your e-mail address through the message received from us on your inbox. Do not forget to also check your spam folder!

    We kindly remind you that the email address associated to your profile is also used to log into the site, so we suggest you to use an email address that you use often and of which you know the access data.

  • What information is visible to my contacts?

    Your profile on Life in Two is anonymous. The members who will receive your contact proposal will get to know only your gender, age, sexual orientation, profession, marital status, number of children, level of education, ethnical origin.

    At your discretion, you can decide whether to provide additional information concerning religion, languages spoken, height, weight, if you smoke, alcohol consumption, income, interest, practiced sports, music you listen to.

    We can assure you that the communications between the users will be always totally anonymous thanks to our messages system. It is only up to you the decision to get out from anonymity.

  • How can I edit my profile?

    Once inside your personal area (Profile) you can modify your personal data anytime from the “Profile” section. Select the tab with the data that you wish to modify, insert the new ones and click on “Save”. Our database will be instantly updated with the changes you made in order to suggest you new contacts in line with your updated personal data. The only data that you cannot modify is your gender, the gender of your ideal partner and your date of birth. Only if you are a Premium user you are entitled to ask to our support service to modify those personal information for you.


  • Why am I not getting answer to my requests of contact?

    On Life in Two there are no fake users answering to messages and our users are real. Since we have no influence on the behavior of our users it may happen that a message does not get answered.

  • How can I write a message?

    When you decide to contact another user, Life in Two directs you to the message composition page. If the first time you're a bit hesitant, shy or do not know how to approach, the portal provides you with a series of pre-set messages which can serve to break the ice.

    On the other hand, to write a message personally, all you have to do is type the content inside the "Write a message ...".

  • I deleted a message by mistake. How can I recover it?

    Every time you get or answer to a message a copy of it will be saved; but keep in mind that once a message is deleted it is no longer possible to recover it.

  • Where can I find the answers to the messages I sent?

    In the section dedicated to messages there are two tabs, one called "Conversations" and the other "Drafts". Through the "Conversations" tab you can view all your sent and received messages, broken down by conversations, in fact. In the "Drafts" tab are instead stored the "temporary" messages , the ones that you have to finish to prepare and / or who have not sent yet. The drafts are automatically saved within the specific tab, but you can delete them at any time, the same way as with the sent and received messages.

    To view a single conversation, you just click inside the box of the person whom you are interested in reading the exchange.


  • Instructions moderation photos

    Life in Two allows you to upload pictures and share them with whomever you want, but for them to be approved, it is necessary to respect some moderation criteria.

    Our team does not approve:

    - images of drawings, emoticons or smiles

    - images of children

    - images of celebrities or those protected by copyright

    - landscapes, art works, objects

    There are also forbidden:

    - vulgar, indecent, obscene images, or that incite violence

    - images that contain advertisement

    - low quality images or with covered parts

    - modified images that contain telephone number, e-mail, personal website, other websites

    - images containing logos

    - images where the user cannot be identified (group pictures, hidden face, picture taken from a long distance, etc.)

  • Can I see the photos of the other Life in Two members?

    If you want view photos of a user you need ask permission. The user will decide whether to accept your request or not.

  • Can I upload a photo?

    On your profile it's possible to upload from 1 to 5 photos. To fully protect your privacy your photos will always be covered: you can decide if you show them to users when they ask for it or you can decide to make them visible to all without any kind of request.

Contact proposals

  • Why did I receive a contact proposal from a person who does not live in my same location?

    There are people who look for their soul mate in the city they live in, while others look for romance in other cities or countries. For example it is possible that people who travel a lot and frequently visit your city may be interested in having a date with you, even if their residence is elsewhere.

  • Why am I receiving fewer contact proposals lately?

    Starting from your registration at Life in Two, our system will analyze all the available profiles to find out the ones that are most compatible with yours. You will not receive a fixed number of contact suggestion every day, week or month. Whenever a user modifies his/her profile this will be again compared with yours and, if it matches your preferences, we will send you a new contact suggestion. Please also note that setting very strict research criteria, such as a very small age range, you may receive a smaller number of compatible profiles.

  • What is a contact suggestion?

    Whenever our system finds a partner compatible with your profile you will receive an email with the partner’s details. By clicking on the button in the email you will be able to see the partner’s profile. If the suggested partner matches your desires you will be able to get in touch by sending him/her a message (see 5.2), inviting them to play at Play Together, show your photos (see 6) or apply for access to theirs (see 6.1).

    The contact suggestions will contain all the information about the suggested profile: age, region of residence, physical appearance and preferences. If you particularly like a suggested profile you can save it in your “Favorites”, so you can easily find it later.

Subscription cancellation

  • What is the automatic renewal?

    Starting from a few days before its expiration your PREMIUM Pass (for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months) will be automatically renewed for the same amount of time chosen at the moment of the purchase. The automatic renewal is provided for the general terms of use that you can read in the public section of the website, during the registration process and after having logged in to the website.

  • How can I cancel my subscription?

    After logging in, click on the link "Profile" at the top right corner. In the bottom of the page click on the menu "Settings" and then "Account Status".

    You'll notice the voice "Status:" where you can check the status of your subscription.

    To cancel the automatic renewal, and then your subscription, you will have to click on"Check" and follow the steps until the final confirmation of the cancellation.

    Please note that the cancellation must be done within the following terms:

    - Not later than 48 hours before the expiration of a weekly susbscription;
    - Not later than 7 days prior to the expiration of a monthly subscription;
    - Not later than 15 days before the expiration of a quarterly subscription;
    - Not later than 30 days before the expiration of a six-month subscription;
    - Not later than 60 days before the expiration of a yearly subscritpion.

    Any cancellation request that is not received within the specified time and shall not contain the necessary information, will not be considered valid. If your cancellation request will contain all the data, but is not received within the specified time, your subscription will be renewed as expected and will be canceled as of the following deadline.

    Please also note that once you get the cancellation of your subscription, you will continue to use it until its natural end, beyond which, however, will not be renewed.

Profile deletion

  • What procedure do I have to follow to delete my Life in Two profile?

    To remove your profile from Life in Two, log in by using your login data or through an email you've received from Life in Two.

    Please go to "Profile": at the bottom of that page click on menu "Settings" then on "Account status". Lastly click on "Cancel registration" to delete your profile.

    Click on the link and follow the video instructions to complete the procedure. Remember that if you choose to fully remove it, you will definitely lose the access to your profile.

    If you are a PREMIUM Pass subscriber, you must request the cancellation of your subscription before cancelling your profile.

Problems with payment

  • I am trying to make a credit card payment, but I get a “transaction declined” error message

    If you receive a “transaction declined” error please make sure that you are entering the correct credit card data: credit card number, CVV and expiration date.

    Our payment system supports credit cards belonging to Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and American Express circuits. If you are using a rechargeable credit card please make sure you have enough credit left to make the payment, otherwise it will be declined. If you're using a "traditional" credit card, make sure you have enough credit and still have not reached the maximum of your monthly ceiling.

    It may happen that, for reasons beyond our will and control, the payment gets declined by your bank. It may simply be a temporary problem, so we suggest you to try again to make the payment.

    Please note that once the payment has been successfully processed your PREMIUM-Pass will be activated instantly. You will not receive any confirmation of the activation and you will be able to contact other users right away. If you think that your payment was successfully processed but your Vip-Pass is still not active, please contact our support service.

E-mail notifications

  • How do I stop receiving e-mail notification?

    If you do not want to receive alerts or notifications about activities or new partners suggestions, you can deactivate this feature by going to your Life in Two personal area, in the 'Settings page, “E-mail Services” section and uncheck the notifications you do not want to receive. Then remember to click on 'Save'.

Improper behaving users

  • Blacklist

    If you no longer wish to be contacted by someone you can put those contacts in this section, so that you won’t get any more messages from them.

  • Improper behaving users

    Life in Two guarantees the optimal quality of its services as described in the statement of commitment to fairness (no fake contacts are added by Life in Two). If you think that a profile is fake or you received an improper message (spam, advertising, vulgar or racist statements, false statements) from a user click on the 'Report user' link to report it to us. Please always specify the reason of your report in order to make it easier for the moderation team to take the appropriate actions.


  • I cannot confirm my e-mail address.

    By registering to Life in Two you will receive a message to the e-mail address you have provided during the registration process. If you do not find that message, make sure it has not been filed into the Spam or 'undesired messages' folder. Then follow the instructions to confirm your address.

    You can have a new confirmation email sent to your email address from the “Settings” -> “Confirm email” page in your Life in Two profile.

  • Why can I not access my profile (login)?

    Make sure that you have correctly typed in your access data. If you still cannot access, make sure you do not have cookies disabled in your browser; to activate them:

    - If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0x and above go to the 'View-> Internet Preferences menu. In the 'Advanced' tab scroll through the list until you find the preferences for cookies. Now select 'Warn me before accepting a cookie'.

    - If you are using Netscape 4.0 and above go to the 'Edit->Preferences...' menu and select the 'Advanced' modality and 'Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server' and 'Warn me before accepting a cookie'.

  • What to do in case my password will be stolen?

    Life in Two respects your personal data in compliance with the current laws on Privacy. We assure you that it is not possible to access a profile without a Password, unless somebody knows it. We suggest you use a hard to guess password and be very careful when using public PCs like the ones found in Internet Points.

  • I forgot my password. What can I do?

    If you don't remember your Password, you can ask for it to be sent to your e-mail address.

    Type on your browser address bar our website address . You will be directed to the public homepage. On the top right of that webpage, where you can normally write your access data to login , you will notice that the word “Password”, beside the login field, is a link. Click on it. As requested, type the email address you chose to subscribe to Life in Two and then click on “ request password”. An email message containing your password will be sent to that email address. Please also check the spam folder.

  • I tried to register but by clicking on the “Start now” button nothing happens.

    You are probably using a browser that does not fully support JavaScript 1.1., like MS-I.E. 3.0 or the first versions of Netscape 3.0. We suggest you update your browser to the latest version. Make sure you have JavaScript installed.


  • We protect the privacy of all of our members.

    We respect the current legislation of personal data protection and we use all the required resources to provide you with a safe environment. By joining Life in Two you accept that the following data, provided during the registration process, will be shown on your personal profile: your country/region of residence, gender, age and physical appearance. Your e-mail address will never be shown and your profile will be completely anonymous. You will be able to create a custom nickname associated to your profile once registered.

  • For how long will the information I entered during the registration process be stored in the database?

    Your personal data will be stored in our database until the moment you remove your profile from our portal.
